Accommodations

The Kent State University Hotel & Conference Center is the official conference hotel. It is conveniently located in downtown Kent with access to restaurants and bars. It is also adjacent to campus and less than 1 mile from the Center for Visual Arts. The rate is $139 per night + tax for a Double Queen or King room.

Click the button above, then under “Rate Options” enter the code MAPC21 and select the dates (between October 13-16). Then select your room option, click “Check Availability” then “Book It!” Follow the instructions for payment.

You can also book rooms by calling the front desk at 330-346-0100.

Rooms are also available at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Kent University Area. This is located approximately 3.5 miles from campus and a shuttle will be running from there to conference activities. A campus parking pass is also available for $10 for the duration of the conference. The rate is $114 per night + tax for a Double Queen room.

Travel

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is approximately a 45-minute drive to Kent, OH. Rental cars, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available at the airport. Sunday morning and afternoon conference activities will take place in Cleveland, so conference attendees can head from there straight to CLE on Sunday afternoon.

Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is approximately a 35-minute drive to Kent, OH. Rental cars, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available at the airport.
